“You remind me of the babe.”
I have had Jareth, the Goblin King (a.k.a. David Bowie from The Labyrinth) on my list of Halloween costume ideas for a long time and this seemed like the perfect year to make it happen.

I rewatched the 1986 classic this summer and was reinspired by its strangeness (I had no idea it was a Jim Henson film!). In case you need to be reminded of this epic movie, I’ve posted a few videos to jog your memory.
The costume was pretty easy to put together and required little sewing. I haven’t had a ton of time on my hands, so I tried to keep things simpler than previous Halloweens. Simple is subjective of course, but all I did for this costume was add some fringe and a pointier collar to a store-bought black cape, and add a billowy collar to a store bought, cheap blouse. Everything I purchased for this costume was on sale (bonus)! So I didn’t spend much either.

Happy Halloween!
