Well it’s been another busy week and all I can muster this week is a quick post. This week I happened to see the trailer for Joe Wright’s newest film, Anna Karenina based on Tolstoy’s book of course. The movie is scheduled for release on November 16th.
I must say I am a fan of Joe Wright’s work (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement), and this looks like it will be another visually stunning piece, but the cast of characters is seeming a tad bit monotonous. I guess we’ll see!
I have yet to crack the spine on this classic novel but it’s been on my reading list for a long time, so it looks like it may be coming with me on the honeymoon. We’ll see how far I get!
Another book that looks pretty intriguing is Dancing with Mrs. Dalloway by Celia Blue Johnson, which is a book that explores the inspiration behind fifty or so classic works of fiction. From Jane Eyre to Great Gatsby, Anna Karenina to Pride & Prejudice, this book seems right up my alley. Anyone read it? I’d love to know if it’s worth picking up.
Happy Friday and I’ll catch you next week.
