The Inspiration

At this point last year we had the venue, photographer, food and music booked. I was on the hunt for the perfect dress and obsessing about flowers and wedding decor.

I’ll get to the vendors and of course our photos soon, but first thing’s first, let’s take a moment to discuss my sources of inspiration.

Colors, hours on Pinterest, Etsy,  flowers, wedding websites. You get the idea. Below are the images I used to pull together my ideas of palette, flowers…the creative elements, I suppose. While it may not have a rhyme or reason, here’s a teeny tiny portion of the images I saved and where I started.

Dreams of vintage crocheted doilies, blue Ball Jars, antiqued mercury glass. Bright magenta Ranunculus mixed with delicate shades of cream and Dusty Miller leaves.

Hand tied bouquets. Barns and banquet style tables. All things that I envisioned.

Adding our own twists and turns, this was our baseline. Stay tuned for how it all came together to be our very own unique day!
