Celebrate Earth Day by making an all-natural or upcycled diy project! With the holiday falling on a Sunday, perhaps you’ll have a little free time for a little Earth-friendly creativity!

Natural DIY Projects Seed Bombs

This post should have gone up on Monday or Tuesday, but well, life’s life, but I still wanted to share some Earth Day crafts and inspiration – perhaps spend this lazy (Earth Day) Sunday making one or two natural DIY projects!

So without further ado, here’s five things you could try on Sunday!

Natural DIY Projects for Earth Day

1. Make homemade Seed Bombs for friends. Just because.

2. Naturally Dye Fabric

3. Braid some Upcycled T-Shirt Bracelets!

4. Hoarding Wine Corks? Here’s a few ways to re-use wine corks including trivets, place card holders or even a bath mat!

5. Get your seeds going in Newspaper Seed Starter Pots.

Happy Friday!

As I’ve alluded to many times these last few months, there hasn’t been a lot of down time between wedding planning, work and multiple friends welcoming new babies.

With all of these bundles of joy, I’ve been wielding the needle and thread often and everywhere. It’s been down to the wire with looming due dates.

So here’s a peek at a few of the blankets I’ve given as gifts to or made as gifts for friends this winter.

{Sadly, I didn’t take photos of my “Very Hungry Caterpillar” blanket, it was a whirlwind rush job!}

Also, for the current  ”blanket-in-progress,” I’m officially attempting a real quilt, not just a receiving blanket. It’s been a big learning curve and it definitely won’t be perfect, but so far, I’m pretty pleased with how it’s turning out.

What did you make this weekend?

Not to be too repetitive with my round-ups these last few weeks, but it seems it’s all I’ve had time for with the wedding planning in full swing! (Updates soon. Promise.)

So, I have a few good posts coming down the pipeline, but in the meantime here’s my brainstorm on creating a Vintage inspired Valentine for your pal, main squeeze or perhaps as a few hints for your gifts you might like to receive.

Vintage Valentines Day Inspiration on Flee Fly Flown

Top row, left to right:

Vintage Valentine Download  | With a little color printer action and perhaps some glue and glitter, why not make your own valentine for that special someone? I recall a heavy use of heart shaped paper doilies for our homemade cards as a kid, as well.

Keep things simple and just make your sweetie a cupcake. Stick a vintage topper in it. $14.95.

Cupid can pierce both ears with these cute little vintage heart earrings. $27.

Middle row:

Wear your heart on your back (ba-dum-ching!) with this adorable heart-backed dress, $138.

Get a little crafty and make a pillow cover with a vintage love-themed hanky. Your Valentine will rest easy if you include some dried lavender inside the cushion. $38.

What’s old is new! Upcycle these unused vintage Valentine’s Day Cards, $5.

Bottom row:

I’ve always wanted to receive a telegram. Here’s a fun un-used one special for Valentine’s Day. $15.

Make heart-shaped pot holders for all of your delectable dinners made with love.

Good luck!
